Description
Along the northern Oregon coast, the remains of the Peter Iredale stand as a weathered reminder of a story the Pacific has never completely erased. More than a century after the ship came ashore, its rusted remains still rise from the sand, shaped by wind, waves, and coastal storms. In the soft light of late afternoon, the skeletal structure takes on an almost timeless character as the Pacific rolls ashore behind it. The ship is gone and the ocean continues to move, yet pieces of its story remain embedded in the Oregon coast. A reminder that some journeys leave a mark time cannot completely wash away.
