Description
Returning to Tumalo Falls after some time away, I discovered the familiar view had changed as growing trees reshaped the landscape. Rather than accept that the photograph I imagined was gone, we searched for another perspective. A rugged path led us down toward the creek, scrambling over roots and rocks as the evening light faded. From below, the rushing water, forest, and rugged creek revealed an entirely different side of the falls. Sometimes the landscape changes the plan, and sometimes the best photographs are waiting beyond the view you originally came to find.
